I took these photos during the sugar beet harvests during 1958 and 1959 in Loveland, Colorado, the headquarters of the Great Western Railway, owned by the sugar company with the same name. The little saddle-tank locomotives on the right were owned by the sugar company and were active all day long at a number of Colorado facilities switching hoppers of sugar beets onto the unloading bins.
