Hopkinsville is a town in Southeastern Kentucky. Edgar Cayce was raised here. Mary Ellen and I visited Hopkinsville to look for the houses in which the "Sleeping Prophet" had lived. The top photo on the left is the house atWest 7th and Young streets. It was the first house that Cayce, who was a child, lived in. The 2nd photo on the left shows the Cayce home at 530 West 7th Street, the first home that Edgar Cayce gave his readings in. The friendly folks next door (shown in photo 3) told me that on the top floor, there was writing on the wall where Edgar wrote down dreams that he had. The house, we were told, was currently being rented out to a student. The gentleman next door also told us that the house in Photo 4 was also a place of residence for Edgar Cayce. The Cayce family still lives in Hopkinsville, as witnessed by the pharmacy in the next photo. The last photo on the left is the house at 1910 South Main, the last house that the Cayces lived in before moving out of the state. Hopkinsville, a very photogenic town!
