Last Piece - for instrumental ensemble
By Don Robertson
My "Last PIece" was my last duochord composition. It took me a year to write, and I worked on it with my teacher, Morton Feldman.

Constructions - for flute, guitar and contrabass
By Don Robertson
When I finished this piece, Morty (as I called my teacher Morton Feldman) sent it to the great bass player Bertram Turetzky in San Diego, and he performed it with a trio in concert. I wished I could have been there.

Five Piano Pieces
By Don Robertson
These five pieces, which I carefully created a beautiful score for, represented my dedication to sparsity and simplicity. They were probably the last pieces that I wrote before I moved completely into the rhelm of the duochord.

MU - For Horn and Piano
By Don Robertson
My first "map" composition was for Horn and Piano and was performed by me and a clarient player (the horn player couldn't make it) in a concert given at Julliard. This was perhaps some of the most sparse music ever created at that time.

Glissandi - for quartet of strings
By Don Robertson
Performed in class at Julliard. Another completely novel approach - the players play glissandi according to the visual interpretation of the music score.

Murchana - for chamber ensemble
By Don Robertson
This is a completely original piece of music using systems of notation pretty much invented by me (as in the case of the parts that are "maps"), or by my teacher Morton Feldman (in the case of graphs).
